A Brown Brasilia 1974 by Jorge Alano Silveira Garagorry became famous for his incredible stubbornness. After being stolen, the car always found a way to return to its owner.
Jorge invested in the Brasilia, making it more attractive with sporty wheels, a modified steering wheel and a modern sound system. But this caught the attention of thieves.
The first time, the car was stolen and recovered the same day, with only the tape player and amplifier taken. A rare stroke of luck for someone who has had their car stolen.
Shortly after, the theft was repeated, but the Brasília was found a few hours later, this time completely stripped, without wheels, seats or sound system.
The case became a real furduncio, with Jorge's company thinking he had been kidnapped. Meanwhile, he slept peacefully at home.
Tired of the thefts, Jorge sold the car to his brother-in-law, who completely neglected Brasília. The vehicle deteriorated over time.
In the end, Brasilia ended up being used in a political campaign and seized due to irregularities, ending up forgotten in a Detran yard.
Jorge followed a very different path, becoming professor and economist, while his faithful Brasilia had a less than glorious fate.
Have you ever had a stolen car returned? Or do you know someone with a similar story?
