The Homemade Brazilian Formula 1 Car

Have you ever imagined building the car of your dreams with your own hands?

This is the story of Manoel Luiz, a resident of Campos de Goytacazes, in Rio de Janeiro, who at the age of 45 decided to turn a childhood dream into reality.

Living a simple life with his wife and daughter, Manoel also had a passion: Formula 1.

And it was this passion that led him to build, with his own resources and a lot of effort, a car inspired by the fastest racing cars in the world.

The idea of building a car Formula 1 was born in childhood, when Manoel watched the races in the 80s.

With experience as a boilermaking instructor and welder, he decided that the tubular chassis would be the best choice for safety and practicality.

The total investment to build the car was around R$ 45,000.

If you also have a dream that seems distant, be inspired by Manoel.

After all, as he himself says, “the impossible only exists until someone proves otherwise.”
