Dream Car: DeLorean-Inspired Kombi

Have you ever wondered what the fusion between the classic utility vehicle would look like? Volkswagen Kombi and the iconic DeLorean DMC-12, famous for the “Back to the Future” franchise?

Well, the American football player Cortland Finnegan not only imagined it, but brought this idea to life with the help of the workshop BLVD Custom, creating a masterpiece that combines nostalgia, creativity and automotive design.

This 1967 Kombi is more than just a converted vehicle — it's a trip back in time, both in concept and appearance.

Inspired by Dr. Brown's car, played by Christopher Lloyd, this Kombi delivers what the original DeLorean could not: more space and comfort.

Just imagine: if this time machine had existed in the history of the movies, Dr. Brown would have had a much easier time getting in and out of his revolutionary creation.

The result is a vehicle with paintwork that imitates stainless steel, in a clear reference to the DeLorean's original finish.

To the seagull wings — trademark of the film's futuristic car — were incorporated into the Kombi, giving it an even more cinematic touch.

So if you're ready to travel back in time at least in spirit, this Kombi could be the vehicle of your dreams.

After all, who wouldn't want to say they own their own time machine? And as we learned in 2024, the past and the future are more connected than ever.
