1966 Corujinha Kombi: Brazilian Classic Shines in the USA

The 1966 Kombi that gained prominence began its journey as a modest vehicle, painted in a simple shade of blue.

But destiny had something much greater in store for her.

A Grumpy's Metal, a renowned workshop located in Huntington Beach, California, was responsible for transforming this Kombi into an automotive masterpiece.

During the restoration, they were made extensive sheet metal work, which included adding extra windows and opening a Sliding fabric sunroof.

The details were made even more impressive with the inclusion of roof racks, one Macfel side ladder and the classics safari style windshield, which give a nostalgic touch.

The benches and side panels were covered with red vinyl, while black rugs create a sophisticated contrast.

Under the hood is a classic engine 1.2 liter air-cooled flat-four.

Every detail of this Kombi reflects the care and passion of those who worked on its restoration.

Whether as an investment, a collector's item or simply a vehicle to celebrate history, the Kombi continues to prove that its magic never fades.
