But total autonomy goes far beyond that: it is impressive 643 km, combining solar energy with the electric battery. This is more than enough for long trips without having to worry about charging stations.

Aptera's efficiency is even more evident when looking at its power consumption: 6.2 kWh/100 km. To give you an idea, conventional electric cars consume around 15 to 20 kWh/100 km. This difference is a result of their aerodynamic coefficient (Cx), which is only 0,13 the smallest of any passenger vehicle currently in production. This means it encounters less resistance when cutting through the air, which is key to saving energy.

Design that Unites Style and Functionality

The shape of the Aptera is eye-catching. With a design in the shape of a drop, it looks like something out of a futuristic movie. But this choice is not just aesthetic; it was carefully planned to reduce aerodynamic drag. The startup used the wind tunnel of the renowned Pininfarina, famous for designing iconic cars, to optimize every detail of the vehicle.

Inside, the Aptera follows the trend of minimalism. You'll find a cut-rim steering wheel with no upper spoke and a functional multimedia center. Despite its compact design, the vehicle is comfortable enough to carry two people.

The starting price of Aptera is in the range of US$ 40 thousand, which, converting to reais in January 2025, is equivalent to approximately R$ 200 thousand (assuming an approximate quote of R$ 5.00 per dollar). This puts the Aptera in a competitive price range, comparable to popular electric cars like the Tesla Model 3.

Additionally, the startup claims it has already received 48 thousand reservations for the model. This impressive number reinforces the public's interest in a sustainable, innovative and economical vehicle. Aptera also guarantees that production will begin in 2025, with the first units being delivered by the end of the year.
