The story begins in 1964, when Chevrolet introduced the line C-1404, composed of C-14 (single cabin with short bed),
C-1414 (double cabin), C-1504 (long bucket) and C-1410, a version adapted as an ambulance.
These models had a modern look for the time, much like their American counterparts, but with a touch of Brazilianness.
A double cabin, for example, accommodated six passengers with relative comfort, although the transmission tunnel in the center could be a little annoying.
Furthermore, its wide bucket was ideal for transporting varied loads, consolidating its versatility in the market.
The highlight of the time was the collaboration with Brasinca, the company responsible for producing the buckets.
Founded in 1949 as National Steel Body Industry SA, Brasinca guaranteed the quality standard that accompanied the cabin manufactured by GM.
In 2025, the legacy of the C-14 remains strong, as a testament to Brazilian talent in creating vehicles that combine functionality and style.
If you find one of these relics, know that you are looking at a chapter of history on wheels.
