O outer casing. The angular shapes, each angle It is sharp edge. The body constructed entirely with stainless steel. O innovative design. A technology. And, above all, the expectation from the moment of its presentation, in November 2019, until its first delivery, in November 2023. Everyone was eagerly waiting. But what's really behind the Tesla Cybertruck?

The Michigan-based company Caresoft, led by president Terry Woychowski, dismantled the Cybertruck to unravel its mysteries. Woychowski and Autoline YouTube channel host John McElroy are now inside a Cybertruck.

His team removed almost all components: battery, seats It is doors. Except for the system steer-by-wire. The compartment has no floor. The front and rear seats are assembled from castings, protected against corrosion.

A electrical structure in 48 volts features wires with blue stripes. High voltage wires are identified by color orange. Some operate with 28 volts, not reaching the announced 48 volts. 48 volts are not required for all vehicle functions.

The Tesla Cybertruck introduces the revolutionary system steer-by-wire, where there is no physical connection between the steering wheel and the wheels. A system that cannot fail.

An electric motor under the dashboard almost entirely replaces the traditional steering system. The steering wheel is connected to the steering gear through the steering column, which in turn is connected to the risers by an intermediate axis. A truly 48 volts.

Underneath the vehicle, there is a rack that receives a signal and drives an electric motor. In fact, there are two electric motors operating there, to ensure that the steering does not fail during movement. If one engine fails, the second comes into action. However, there is only one on the back.

Some users have difficulty adapting to the system steer-by-wire. Maneuvering the vehicle can be complicated at first.

The battery system 800 volts it is now on a table in the Caresoft store. It was removed along with the front seat support. The team will now examine you in detail.

Some problems with quality were identified in this initial Cybertruck series. A seal on the side sills it is irregular. While the front doors open completely, the rear doors open 90 degrees. Terry Woychowski says the front doors should open the same way. The problem is in hinge top at the front, which was probably installed incorrectly.

The castings beneath the charging base are also coated. Terry jokes that it takes a doctorate degree to remove the cover tonneau. It is a coverage that supports up to 300 pounds (136 kg), designed to be resistant even when someone tries to remove it.

Caresoft has two Cybertrucks in its store to work on right now. However, the second will remain intact. They are not using it to ensure they can reassemble the disassembled Cybertruck.
